The New Black Wii
By allkinds on Aug 30, 2010 | In Electronics

Did you see the new wii system that is black now? It’s been out on the market for months now. Its looks really nice, but the kids already have a wii so I don’t see myself buying a black one. Before the black wii system came out they did start out with wii accessories that where black, so I guess Nintendo was warming us up for it. But it’s just like anything you buy; they always seem to come out with a better version once you buy it.
Phone SD Cards
By allkinds on Jun 22, 2010 | In Electronics

I have to buy a micro SD card for my phone, because the memory is full and I can’t get the info off of my phone to clear the memory. So not only do I have to buy a card I also had to buy usb cable for my phone, since I didn’t get a cable when I bought the phone. I bought the phone used off of craigslist for about $25 which is a very good deal considering that the phone is worth about $100, unfortunately it didn’t come with all the accessories, but that is a small price to pay for a good phone at such a low price. Craigslist can be a good place to get things sometimes; it’s even not a bad place to sell your stuff.
Online Backup
By allkinds on Apr 22, 2010 | In Business, Electronics
For those of you who are wanting to back up your computer, but are not sure if you want to do it at home there are also many companies that offer online backup services. The only thing instead of paying a onetime fee for the equipment or software, you will have to pay a monthly or yearly fee. There are some services that are free, but you will get a little bit of storage, so if you have a lot of files like I do that would not do any good. Do your research and see if it online storage is better for you or if having the equipment at your location is better. I have tried online backup services and they are okay to use.
Rebit- Save Me Back Up Software
By allkinds on Apr 21, 2010 | In Electronics

A few weeks ago my laptop crashed to my dismay. I couldn’t believe it; I just had the laptop for a little over a year and already the laptop gave me a major problem. I was so mad because I lost everything on my laptop as my projects and information could not be recovered. I had been so good at backing up everything and fell behind once on backing up my system and that is when I lost it all.
I had it with my laptop and having to lose everything that I said I can’t let this happen again, while search the net I stumbled upon a company called Rebit. Rebit offers a software called Save Me, which is a fully automated backup files program. You don’t have to set up a schedule to back up your files the program automatically does it; every time a file is changed on your computer save me backs it up.
One of the many cool features of this program is that it maintains file versions you can go back in time to previous versions. If you accidentally overwrite a file today, you can easily restore yesterday’s version while retaining today’s changes. How cool is that, this has happened to me a few times and I was able to go back get the previous version.
Save Me is has a Windows Explorer integration, which means that recovering your lost files or folders is as simple as dragging and dropping them back where they belong. There is a system restore point where you can quickly and easily recover from any catastrophe: crash, virus, or corrupted software installation. If you crash today, recover to this morning’s state. If you got a virus last week, recover to the day before and start over. I mean I think this software is a life saver, I wish I had this before my laptop crashed I would have had all my files back in no time!
Rebit also added what they call SmartSave Technology, the software automatically adapts to the amount of personal space used on your external drive by adjusting the amount of history retained for Point in Time Recovery. So the SmartSave never allows you to go unprotected like I was. The software is also Windows 7 compatible, you can easily transfer files between computers by simply plugging in your external drive to your other computer and doing a drag and drop.
You can back up to 6 computers, but in order to do that the external drive has to have enough space to back up all the data. Finally you can password protect your data so if you don’t want just anyone to get hold of it, it will be protected with a password.
The software is available as a download on their site for $34.99 or you can purchase the CD for $39.99. This price is for up to 6 computers, if you wish to only back up one then the price drops to 24.99 for the download and $29.95 for the CD.
They also sell the software preinstalled on an external hard drive and it is available in many sizes and you can choose whether you want it on a portable drive or a desktop drive. Visit their website at http://www.rebit.com if you are interested in purchasing the product or to get more information.

Going Old School
By allkinds on Feb 28, 2010 | In Electronics
I have been thinking about buying an xbox, not an xbox 360 but the original xbox. I have been seeing a lot of them on ebay with lots of games for real cheap. I know many people would stick with an xbox360, but I myself like a lot of the old school games. Don’t get me wrong I love the wii, but I also like playing old school games on the wii. What is your favorite Video Game System?
Flash Drive

One product that I think is a wonderful product to have is a flash drive. If you are like me and work a lot on the computer and then have to switch between computers often then you need this product.
Flash drives make it so easy to transfer files from one computer to the next. They come in so many sizes that you can easily have hundreds of files on hand with the blink of an eye. This would make a great gift for any computer user. Some even come equipped with a key ring to put it on your keys or some can be carried around your neck.RIGHT DOWN A FLASH DRIVE AS A MUST HAVE ON YOUR SHOPPING LIST!
