Tiny Toes
By allkinds on Jan 17, 2009 | In Books
Here is a book that I thought was worth reading. The name of the book is called Tiny Toes and it is a book about a couple’s journey through infertility, prematurity and depression. The book was written by Kelly K. Damron, which describes how they overcame infertility and then the struggle to keep her marriage going and her babies alive. Although I have never had a problem with infertility I do know what it is like to have preemies, 2 out of my 4 children were preemies so I felt like I could relate to the author. The fear of the unknown comes to my mind when I think about it. The story of Kelly’s life is very touching and you wanted to hug her and tell her that it will all work out. Now this is not a book only for women as Kelly’s husband did a wonderful job with chapter 13, which is his part of the story. I am glad that she did not leave his story out it was very wonderfully written. She also includes tons of resources and a glossary in the back of the book. If you know someone or if you yourself are going through this then you need to read this book which is available at http://www.tinytoesbook.com for $14.95
Baby Diaper Wipe Case
By allkinds on Aug 1, 2007 | In Baby andToddler
Danielle owner of A Lil Whimsy came up with a unique idea to make baby cases look more fashionable. I received a Whimsy Wipe Diaper Case to review, you can view the exact case I received here http://alilwhimsy.com/catalog.php?item=75&catid=2&ret=catalog.php%3Fpage%3D2%26category%3D2.
I have to say I was taken back by the idea that you can take a plain old wipes case and turn it into something that you would be proud to take out of your diaper bag. The case is so nicely designed and put together. This case would make a great gift for a mom to be or for a person who recently gave birth. There are many styles to choose from and you can have this design and the others she has available custom made into a baby nursery set. The price of the case is $22 and it comes filled with unscented huggies wipes. The good thing about these cases is that you have many uses for them besides carrying baby wipes. You can use it as an organizer, put pens and pencils in it, etc.
Danielle also sells other products besides these wipes cases; on her site you will be able to find car seat covers, diaper bags and totes, hair bows and much more.

Swaddle Blanket
By allkinds on Apr 7, 2008 | In Baby andToddler
There are always some products that I have seen now that I wish was around or I knew about when I had my first child. Today I am going to talk about one of those products. Its called the Swaddle Blanket and its from a company called My Precious Kid. The Swaddle Blanket is one of those products that I just love. It helps reduce symptoms of colic by helping your baby feel like they are still in the womb.
My son is 4 months old and I wish I had this product when he was first born. He loves to sleep in it. One of the great things about the swaddle blanket is that it comes with a Velcro closure so your baby can keep secure and cannot unravel themselves easily which helps them sleep longer.
Its available in 2 sizes small pastel for children 0-3 months, birth to 16 lbs and up 25" in length.
They also have the large sized one available in the Retro style 3-6 months, 14-22 lbs up to 28" long.
This makes a great gift for anyone having a baby or who already has a baby. Like I said I wish I had this for my other 3 children, as we all know that when you swaddle a baby like they show you in the hospital your baby some how will find a way to get some body part out of the blanket.
With this product that has not happened with my son. It is very well made and I love the Retro color as well. It is very easy to wash and maintain. The price of the Swaddle Blanket is $35 and you can view it here http://www.mypreciouskid.com/swaddle-blanket-sleep-sack.html
I really do recommend this product its available through the My Precious Kid website located at http://www.mypreciouskid.com or you can contact Kay Green at 503-693-2832
