No-Lice Hair and Body Spray
By allkinds on Aug 16, 2007 | In Child and Safety Products
Erica Johns also known as Supermom has come up with a way to keep lice away from your children. The best part of it all is that it is made from non-toxic substances and it is all-natural. Erica has invented the No-Lice Hair and Body Spray. Which is simple to use after every wash, spray hair thoroughly. Then spray hair daily, this will help keep the lice away.
If you are wondering how she came up with such a product, keep reading! Erica is a mom to 6 young kids. One day she had her first experience with lice when her whole family got it. She then decided to learn all about lice, and there you have it her product was born.
Having 3 kids myself and one on the way, I have some concerns about lice. It seemed like I received a notice at least once or twice a month from the school, stating that some kid in one of my children’s classes had lice. Now that I have a bottle of Erica’s product and have tried it. I am not as worried this school year. You can get a 16-ounce bottle for $15.
What I like about the product is that it is non-toxic, all natural and it does not have a funny smell. It is easy to use and you can use it everyday while you are combing your hair and your children’s hair. Also this product is safe for the whole family to use.
Erica also sells other products for lice on her blog located at www.nolice.blogspot.com. There you can purchase these products and read her no-lice advice.
I think Erica came up with such a great invention and super product. I think all families should have this product on their back school lists. Good Job Erica, and thumbs up to you!
Safety Vests
By allkinds on Nov 18, 2009 | In Child and Safety Products

They have been expanding a highway near me for the past 2 years. The highway is called 601 also known as “death highway” and its looks like they are almost done. When I moved here back in 2006 I had no idea that this highway had so many deaths, it’s so so sad. Other day when I was traveling through the highway I noticed this bright yellow jacket on this man and you could see it from very far away. I realized he was wearing those new safety vests that are now required. I thought that it requiring these new vests if you work on the highways is a great idea as you can see the workers a lot better now then in the past.
Green Crusaders - The Filaments see the Light
By allkinds on Apr 19, 2009 | In Child and Safety Products, Home and Garden

I read an interesting book a few days ago called Green Crusaders - The Filaments see the Light, actually this book is only available on CD where you can read it on your PC or print out the pages. Anyway the book was written by Gary Hillery and illustrated by Jeff West, it's all about the importance of recycling and keeping green and saving the planet from destruction. The book is geared towards children aged 5 - 10 years old, but I feel this book is also great for adults.
One thing I truly loved about the book was the illustrations which really brought the story to life for me. I have 4 kids ages 12, 9, 6 and 16 months and they all loved it like I did. I hope they bring this book to print, because it would be truly a great book to keep in your library.
The Green Crusaders consist of three super heroes. They are Recycle Mycle, Hydro Hannah and Kilowatt Karlos. With a side kick dog name Plastic Mastiff. I thought that was too funny! These super heroes were given powers by Mother Nature. I don't want to give to much away, so you will have to read the book to learn the rest.
When I was reading this book I thought that this was a great way to start children on the green path, in other words introducing them into keeping the environment clean and they can learn ways to do so. At the end of the story you will find a check list which help's remind you of the information you read in the story and you can also find more things you can do to commit to being Green. You can also take the Green Pledge.

The Guardian Masters of the Electro World Game
By allkinds on Nov 18, 2008 | In Child and Safety Products

If you are looking for a fun and educational game for your kids this Christmas season I recommend buying them The Guardians. The game is recommended for children aged 4-10 and 2-4 people can play. The object of the game is to get home safe from school.
There are 4 characters you can choose from Logan, Angel, Destiny or Sky.
My children had so much fun playing this game and they said that this game really made them think. I liked this game because it covered a lot of situations that children can face each day. For example “if a stranger asks you to help him look for his lost puppy what should you do?” Another thing I liked about this game is that you can cater it to your children.

The game includes 12 blank cards so that you can ask your own safety questions. You and your kids can really learn some great safety tips and children can apply what they have learned to their own everyday life. The cost of the game is $24.99 and its available through My Precious Kid website located at http://www.mypreciouskid.com. You can also give them a call at 1-800-381-4577.
How would you like to win your own guardian game? Well Kay Green owner of My Precious kid has offered to give one away. Check out my next post for details.
Chicks And Cubs
By allkinds on Feb 10, 2007 | In Child and Safety Products
Cynthia Powell owner of Chicks And Cubs sells a variety of keepsakes, slings and child safety products. I received 5 samples to review. And if you are a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or know anybody who has children then you need to check out this website.
I received a child safety identification wristband which is available for $8 and comes in either blue or pink. The wristband can be used to hide your child's personal information and medical information as well.
If your child is ever lost or hurt their information can be easily found inside the wristband. This is great to use if your child goes on school trips or if you are traveling away from home. The wristband is very durable and no one would ever know that the there is information inside the wristband unless your child tells someone.
Another product that I found interesting was the shoe sticker ID kit. The kit includes 20 stickers and you can use it for up to 10 pairs of shoes. They give you 1 permanent marker and you write your child's information and hide it in their shoes. The cost of the product is $10 and its another great way to hide your child's personal info, all they have to do if they need help is take off a shoe and had it to a trusty adult.
If you have a baby or a child in a car seat you can purchase a car seat ID kit. The kit includes 4 ID cards (blank), 4 self seal pouches and 4 Velcro tab sets. The set costs $10 and you can use these on car seats, strollers, booster seats, bikes or wheel chairs. There is a spot for a thumb print and photo and you can add your child's name and address as well as other information. Once this is done you can seal it in the pouch provided and attach it to the car seat or another place.
There is also some safety products that parents can carry and one of those products is the wallet ID kit. With this kit you get 5 blank ID cards and 5 self seal pouches. You can add the same information as the car seat ID. These can be carried in your wallet, give one to your child and you can also give one to everyone who cares for your child. This kit is available for $10. This is a great way to remember all of your child's personal information and hand it to an officer.
I feel that anything that can safe a child's life is a great product and worth every penny. No parent or grandparent should be without one of these products. If you would like to find out more information about these products or to purchase these products visit www.chicksandcubs.com.
Be sure to use this $2.00 off voucher # 312673545

Kung Zhu
By allkinds on Nov 14, 2010 | In Baby andToddler, Child and Safety Products, Home and Garden, misc

My kids and I had the pleasure of reviewing the Kung Zhu toys. The makers of the 2010 ?Toy of the Year,? Zhu Zhu Pets, reveal a one-of-a-kind line of action-figures, Kung Zhu battle hamsters. We had so much fun playing with them. My 2 year old love hearing them speak and watching them move. Who would of thought that these hamsters would have been such a hit in my household.
My son also liked the way they felt, they were sort of therapeutic for him since he has Sensory Processing Disorder, he also has PDD-NOS which is a type of autism. I thought he would be scared of them at first, but he was not he actually embraced them. My other 3 kids also enjoyed playing with them. What they liked about the Kung Zhu toys was that there were a lot of accessories that can be added to them. Although this is geared more towards boys, my 2 daughters didn?t mind messing around with them to see how they worked and what they can do.
I embrace any toy that is fun and does not show a lot of violence and I feel these toys will give any kid hours a fun. The concept is unique I think, if your child ever wanted a hamster, well here is their chance to get one with out all of the mess and responsibility of a real one. They are not expensive either, making them very affordable. Here is some background information on the Kung Zhu toys.

The Kung Zhu Characters
Within the Special Forces and Ninja Warriors, there are clans, each with two hamsters sharing a symbol of allegiance on their backs. Each hamster has its own unique features that provide insight into each individual personality.
Kung Zhu Special Forces
Delta Force
· Rivet ? the leader of the Special Forces and a master of demolition, Rivet loves a good explosion
· Sergeant Serge ? has a heart of gold and wants nothing more than a great day for everyone
Rangers
· Rock-O ? the brains of the operation, managing technology and communication
· Stonewall ? loud, crazy and is always ready for a fight
Kung Zhu Ninja Warriors
Dragon Clan
· Drayko ? a fast learner who will stop at nothing to become the best
· Yama ? best friend to Drayko and is still only a student, but feared as the strongest of the Ninja Warriors
Skull Clan (the bad guys)
· Azer ? creator of the Skull Clan and older brother of Drayko with a personal grudge against Rivet
· Thorn ? the true definition of zhu-vil, he is rough, tough and never afraid to cheat

How Do You Kung Zhu??
Kung Zhu hamsters start out as mild-mannered pets that dart around, scurry from place to place, and coo and squeak based on the unique environment they encounter. However, they transform into battle-ready warriors once they are properly ?trained.? Simply swipe them across the Tablet or Zhu, and watch in amazement as an entirely new set of skills and sounds are unlocked. Just snap on armor and they?re ready to go to the battle arena to test themselves against worthy opponents! While the winners bask in the glow of victory, the defeated must re-acquire their skills through another round of training.
Fur-ocious Kung Zhu? Technology
The innovative technology that makes Kung Zhu so diverse and unique is a coding system that tells the hamsters where they are in the tracks of training grounds and battle arena. The configuration of the tracks in the playset allows the intelligent warriors to properly navigate sections of the track to lead them to the battle arena for some ultimate Kung-Zhu fighting.
Accessories such as a battle arena, battle armor, vehicles and training areas, room, traps and more are available to bring the action to life and create a custom hamster habitat.
Availability
· Kung Zhu? is available at Toys?R?Us, Wal-Mart and other select retailers
· All Kung Zhu? hamsters and accessories are sold separately
