Send Flowers
By allkinds on Aug 21, 2010 | In Gifts,Handmade and Personalized, Home and Garden
What is the best way to tell someone you love them or to share in that special occasion? Send them flowers. I don’t know anyone who does not like to flowers; it’s one of the easiest gifts to give. What is even better is that you can send flowers online with PF. I was on this flower companies website that offers an excellent array of beautifully arranged flowers. But that is not all they sell, you can also buy cupcakes, cookie arrangements, teddy bear arrangements and more. So if you don’t have to worry about finding a gift for someone who has it all, just send them flowers.
Lead test kits
By allkinds on Aug 3, 2010 | In Baby andToddler, Home and Garden
If you have a house or business that is built before 1978, the government states that your place must be certified lead free. You must also follow strict guidelines to prevent lead poisoning. Back in the days you had to hire someone to test your home for lead and it was very costly. Now you can purchase your own lead test kit and perform the test on your own. These tests allow you to know within a matter of minutes whether you have lead in your home or business. This something that everyone should do if you feel you may have lead. It truly is better to be safe than sorry as having lead poisoning especially in children, can lead to a host of health problems.
Celing Fans
By allkinds on Aug 3, 2010 | In Home and Garden
Do you know that if you have central air it is also a good idea to have a ceiling fan? I didn’t know that, but apparently it helps circulate the air in the room and it keeps your energy bills low (that is what I heard from a few people). Now a days you can get a ceiling fan for a very good price, also they come in a few sizes and name brands such as Minka Aire. Minka Aire is one of the leaders in ceiling fans. They have a wide variety of designs and styles to choose from. I may just start adding ceiling fans in my house to see if I can save some money too.

It shows you the signs of the times, we are having Christmas in July. Many, many stores are doing all these sales for back to school, Christmas and what have you. They are all trying to get our business. Now I am seeing Halloween costumes being sold infact I saw a whole bunch of pirate costumes on sale. What happened to the time where when it was September you saw Halloween stuff for sale, November Christmas stuff, Thanksgiving in October etc.. It seems like there is no order anymore when it comes to these things anymore. Right now I am trying to worry about getting my kids school stuff together and not worry about Christmas or any other holiday these stores want to have in July. How do you feel about this? Do you think the stores are going over board?
Window Blinds
By allkinds on Jul 5, 2010 | In Home and Garden
I have been changing the window blinds in my house for the last couple of months. It seems that that my kids break them faster then I can buy another one. I am really getting tired of having to replace them so often. I told me kids that if they continue to break them they are going to buy them. I have been thinking about the ones that are really sturdy and last long, but they can be rather expensive. I am looking to any affordable alternatives, I have check out a few sites and I am still debating on what I am going to do.
Outdoor Lighting
By allkinds on Jun 22, 2010 | In Home and Garden

I live out in the country and when it gets dark its get really dark. It is so dark that you can’t see a thing unless you have some outdoor garden lighting. I a few weeks ago I added a light pole and now I am thinking about adding some more lights so it can be a bit brighter. Here you never know what could be crawling through the ground like snakes or any rodents. I don’t want to take any chances so that is why I am thinking about adding accent lighting, I just don’t like taking my puppy out at night and not being able to see my feet.
An eye opener

Do you know what is so sad about the world today, is that so many people are worried about material items and their looks. They worry about their weight and they worry about who has what that they don’t have. Mind you I understand that we want to keep in shape and we want to live for many years so yes we should watch what we eat, but when it gets to a point of obsession then there is something wrong. Or we have those who have to have the latest and greatest gadgets or they have to have the same as their neighbor or better. What happened to just being happy to be able to wake up every morning and breath? I know I know we all need money to survive and trust me I work for my money and make sure I keep my businesses going to be able to pay the bills and such but at the same note I only worry about making my family happy. Making sure we have a roof over our head, my kids have clothes and food, and my pets are well fed. I don’t care what kind of car my neighbor has or if my neighbor found the best diet supplement because he/she needs to lose a few pounds. I have come to realize that too many people are loving things and using people instead of using things and loving people. Think about it, take a second and think about it everything now a day is centered on having the latest and greatest, instead of showing us that we should center ourselves with the ones we love. Then again we shouldn’t need anyone to show us that, we should know that. This revelation was brought on by an email my aunt sent me that was really was an eye opener. If you have not done it yet make sure you tell everyone you love that you love them and how important they are in your life. If you do that today and every day the world would be a better place and your life will improve for the better!
