Duncan mosquito
By allkinds on Apr 22, 2012 | In misc
The other day one of my friends kids asked me if I wanted to see duncan mosquito. I was what? I don't want to see a mosquito and please don't bring it in my house! He laughed so hard and said to me not that type of mosquito, I mean a yoyo. I felt like such an idiot and was oh okay. So he was happy to show it me and he also showed me some cool tricks he learned. It reminded me of when I was small and I had a few yoyos and tried to learn some tricks with it. I never really became a whiz at it, but it was fun. A yoyo is one of those toys that can live on for generations.
End mill
By allkinds on Mar 30, 2012 | In misc

I don't know about you but prior to 3 days ago I had no idea what an end mill was. Have you ever heard of or used and end mill? I was doing research for a client who wanted me to search sites doing some price comparisons for end mills. In my search I learned that an end mill is a type of cutter, and that there are all types of end mills and their shapes vary. Take the picture for example if I am not mistaken its a ball end mill. They have a shape, radius, corner, die mold etc... It was interesting to learn about them and their uses. The saying is true you learn something new everyday.
Used bobcats for sale
By allkinds on Mar 30, 2012 | In misc

If you are looking into getting in to business for yourself and want to to know how to save some money in the process read on. One of the ways a company can save money is by buying used equipment. There are good and bad with buying used equipment. The good you can save a lot money, sometimes you can save almost 70-80% off the retail price. The bad is of course the equipment is used so you have to make sure that the equipment is in good condition and that its going to last for a long time. I was looking at site that had used bobcats for sale, and even those these were used and were more then 8 years old some of them were priced at over $20,000. So if use was that much a imagine a brand new one. So that's why many companies buy used instead of new. Another way is by bartering for what you need. Bartering has become very popular over last few years. I myself have bartered for a few things that I needed. There are many sites that offer used equipment as well as websites that offer bartering. Just be sure to read the fine print.
Housing for seniors
By allkinds on Feb 21, 2012 | In misc
I have an associate that is facing the tough choice of putting her parents in home. She was really not sure if she should do it. But at this point in her life she just can't take care of them. She has a family of her own, with small children and she has a busy career. So she was looking at her options and she was doing research on Housing for seniors. She saw some places were like a spa and it did not appear like a "senior home". Some where for more independent seniors and she saw some that made her depressed. She wants her parents to be in a good place and well taken care of. So I was trying to give a listening ear and maybe some advice. I know a lot people face this decision everyday, and I know it can't be easy. Have any of you been through this? Or are you going through now? What advice would you give? Share your stories.
Challenge Coins
By allkinds on Jan 24, 2012 | In misc

I think it would be pretty cool to have your own challenge coins created. If you are not familiar with a challenge coin, it's a small coin or medallion that is made for various organizations bearing the insignia or emblem and is given to its members to carry. Usually the coins are seen in the military, but many organizations have them made. Normally the companies that make these charge for a die mold and then they charge per coin made. The pricing varies depending upon what company you use, but its a good promotional tool as well. So it maybe another way to promote your business, it something to look into if you want another unique idea.

By allkinds on Dec 21, 2011 | In misc

Well there is only 3 more shopping days until Christmas and if you are still looking for a gift or gifts how about giving some dakine backpacks. Yes I know you are saying a backpack? But I think everyone could use a backpack for something. Backpacks have many uses and not just for school. You can carry baby stuff in one, computers, paperwork, use it for travel and the list goes on. It's a lot easier to manage, because you put on your back and go. They have a lot of cute styles and are very affordable. One website has a lot of Dakine Backpacks on sale and they are offering free 2 day shipping on orders over $50. The website is called Rocky Mountain Trail. I use a backpack a lot and I would be happy if someone gave me one as a present. By the way there are a lot of companies that make backpacks Dakine just happens to be one them.
