Risotto Chips
By allkinds on Feb 24, 2010 | In Cooking, Food and Drink

Have you tried the new Risotto chips from New York Style? Well my family and I had that opportunity, when we were shipped samples of the chips to try. We received Spicy Marinara, Parmesan & Roasted Garlic and Sea Salt.
We tried the chips during super bowl Sunday and it was a hit, my husband loved them all and he couldn’t decide which one he liked my best. My kids and I thought the Parmesan & Roasted Garlic was good. These are great to use with dip, if you like sour cream then you would like dipping these in sour cream.
Each serving offers 11 grams of whole grains, which provides 13% of the recommended daily allowance. The snacks are also gluten free which is great for those with allergies. Risotto chips are made with whole-grain brown rice, Arborio rice flour, whole-grain corn flour and sesame seeds. They are also lightly seasoned with natural herbs and spices.
You can find the chips in your local supermarket and it comes in 5oz. bags. One thing to mention about these chips that not only can you eat them alone you can also eat them with sandwiches, my hubby did this, and he also ate it with his soup.

New York Style - Focaccia Sticks
By allkinds on Nov 3, 2008 | In Cooking, Food and Drink

My family and I had the opportunity to try some focaccia sticks from New York Style. They are a new product on the market. They are made from real focaccia bread at a traditional bakery in New York City. They are twice baked not fried which is a plus. They are available in Roasted Garlic & Herb, Rosemary & Sea Salt, and Quattro Formaggio (which has parmesan romano, cheddar and blue cheeses). We received all of the flavors each packaged in 5oz bags.
I must say what drew me to them first was the name of course being a New Yorker (born and raised New Yorker) and second was the packaging it made it look so inviting and yummy. After sampling all 3 flavors my kids and I picked the roasted garlic and herb as our favorite. My husband could not decide between the 3.
What I liked about the Focaccia sticks is the fact that you can eat them with so many different types of foods. We tried them with cheese, sour cream, salsa, marinara sauce, and by themselves. My husband tried them with soup and he really enjoyed it. You can also use them as croutons with your salad, maybe even try it with jelly or peanut butter. These are great as a snack food or use them for your guest at a party.
New York Style also offers other products such as Bagel Crisps, Pita Chips, Pretzel Flatz and Crispini flat breads. You can find these products as well as the focaccia sticks at your favorite local deli.
