New York Style -Garlic Bagel Crisps and Roasted Garlic & Herb Focaccia Sticks
By allkinds on Apr 20, 2010 | In Cooking, Food and Drink

Did you know that yesterday April 19th was national garlic day? Wow what a day, I love garlic it just gives a great taste to almost any type of food. In honor of this great day New York Style sent me some samples of their products to taste. I was sent a sample bag of Garlic Bagel Crisps, Parmesan & Roasted Garlic Risotto Chips, Roasted Garlic & Herb Focaccia Sticks and Garlic Pita Chips.
My family and I have tried the Garlic Bagel Crisps and Roasted Garlic & Herb Focaccia Sticks so far. Out of the 2 my favorite is the Garlic Bagel Crisps I loved the taste and the crunch of the bagel my middle daughter agreed with me; I just wanted to continue to eat it and not stop. My oldest son loves the Roasted Garlic & Herb Focaccia Sticks although he did like the bagel crisps as well. My oldest daughter thought both products had too much of a harsh taste although you may want to take that with a grain of salt as she is a picky eater. My husband liked both as well.
The Garlic Bagel Crisps were very good and you can add them to salads and they are good enough to eat on its own. The only thing that I was not crazy about was the fact the bagels were not whole, some of the bagels were broken up and some were even crushed into dust. So when you look at the bag and see whole bagels and then up the bag and see most of them broken up it was very disappointing. It may be possible that the bag came that way in shipping. But for me that was a major flaw, we also noticed that with Roasted Garlic & Herb Focaccia Sticks, although they were not as bad as the bagels.
Roasted Garlic & Herb Focaccia Sticks are great for those who love a strong flavor; I would have to agree with my oldest daughter that it was too strong for me. I am a big garlic fan but I like the taste to be smooth.
We still have to try Parmesan & Roasted Garlic Risotto Chips and Garlic Pita Chips. I am looking forward to trying them as well.
Birth Announcements

While we were looking for cute ideas for my daughter’s party next month I saw some really cute birth announcements and I thought about how if I was not doing a luau theme it would have been really cute to do a party invitation using a picture of her as baby sort of like a birth announcement but turned into a party invitation, if that even makes sense. Well I am pretty sure she would not want it and she would say “mom are you crazy”? I don’t want that on my invites, teenagers you know how they can get some times. It's hard sometimes to see our kids grow up and let go. But we all have to let go and let them grow up and flourish.

My oldest daughter turns 13 next month, so in honor of her 13th birthday we decided to through her a birthday bash. We came up with a luau theme, and my godmother made these cute party invitations of a girl with a hula skirt that looked like my daughter. We are so excited about the party and can’t wait till next month. I have already started buying things for the party such as decorations and lei’s. I still have a lot of preparing to do, but we are looking forward to it.
Jobs and the economy
By allkinds on Apr 13, 2010 | In Business, Money
I heard the other day that they economy may be getting better and that although it may take years to be back on swing there are jobs out there. That is what I find so weird, they say that so many people are out of work or don’t have money, but at the same time you see so many people spending money left and right so how can our economy be so bad? Anyway I was reading that there are a lot of jobs in south jersey. I am not sure if that is true or not but if you are looking for a job and don’t mind moving, then maybe you should look into south jersey. Is there anyone from south jersey? Are there a lot of jobs there? Let us know leave your comments.
It just won't stop will it?

As I mentioned in an earlier post and in a few other posts I really hate spammers, I mean they think that they will get business or traffic to their sites if they spam others and they fail to realize that it is only going to hurt them in the long run. Just as I was getting ready to write a post about term insurance quotes I see about 20 emails telling me there are comments I need to approve on my blog, and of course it is nothing but a ton of spam from the same website leaving stupid comments. These comments make no kind of sense what so ever and they really think I am going to publish and approve these comments are you really kidding me!
I just can't believe people

I have been dealing with spammers for the last few days, I have been deleting comments and I still have ton more to delete. I have also been receiving spam via my other sites, so I have taken it upon myself to start reporting them. I am so sick in tired of these people that I will no longer just press delete, I will now report all spam emails comments to the proper isp’s and hosting companies as well as the ftc. I think if everyone starts to do this them maybe we can get rid of them all. What do you think? They waste so much time it is unbelievable, what gets me is that they can’t follow terms, if you have rules and terms for your site and they choice not to follow it, their website should be taken down by their hosting companies. Enough is enough with these people who think they are above the law.
Project management software
By allkinds on Mar 26, 2010 | In Business
Do you have trouble keeping track of your projects? Would you like to them all in one place? Maybe you can use some project management software. I was looking at a demo on the website aceproject.com they have various toolboxes to help small and large businesses. The project management software has the following features:
• User Assignment: Several users can be assigned to a project, with specific access rights in each project.
• Task Groups: A project can be divided in phases or modules, for easier management. Task groups can also be used to define sub-projects, sub-products, etc.
• Task Types: A project usually includes various categories for the work that needs to be accomplished. A task type can an improvement, an addition, an issue, etc.
• Task Statuses: Tasks within a project are likely to go through many statuses, from the beginning until completion. Task statuses can be created in accordance with your needs, using "Waiting", "In Progress" and "Completed" types.
• Task Priorities: The level of urgency of each task might influence the project's completion. Task priorities are useful to identify which tasks should be prioritized. A task priority can be "Low", "Normal", "Urgent", etc.
Everything can be access through your web browser and it is all kept in one place. The site has a demo you can play with; you can also see a video and see screenshots as well.
